The Vanishing Coin by Kate Egan with Magician Mike Lane
Mike reluctantly bonds with good-girl neighbor Nora while learning fun
skills at The White Rabbit magic shop, the owner of which believes Mike
could become a great magician.
****Good Mike Weiss is learning magic tricks. He uses them on Jackson because he has been mean to Mike. I liked this book because I learned some magic tricks.This book was really good!!!!!!
**** Good I liked this book because it was about magic tricks, which I must say, I am pretty good at myself. Mike finds a way to deal with the bullies, and stay occupied, it's like... magic! I also like how Mike finds out that Nora, his goody-two-shoes neighbor, isn't so bad after all.
****Good! Mike is just starting 4th grade and seems to always be getting into trouble. He can't sit still or stay focused. His parents make him give up soccer to focus on school. How do you think Mike's life changed when he and Nora discovered The White Rabbit magic store? How does magic help Mike? What is your favorite magic trick from the book?
****Great! It was interesting how the author integrated magic into this book. Nothing is going right for Mike until he discovers The White Rabbit magic store. Mike, who is always getting in trouble at school, finds a way to outsmart his arch nemesis. You have to read the book to find out how he does this.

***Great! I enjoyed the book "The Vanishing Coin" because it was fun to learn magic tricks.One thing I found interesting was that Mike and Nora where best friends.I would recommend this book because it's magical!

I enjoyed the book The Vanishing Coin because its funny and when Mike tricked the bully.One thing i found interesting was when they found the magical shop. ****Great Ioved it because the boy always get in trouble because he was walking arourd the room and he wanted a new start of fourth grade and he wineds up in the princaple office.next,he had to go to his next door nabojor house and he learn so much.last,it teach you about magic tricks and who dosesn't like magic tricks.

*****Great This is a great book because I like that he find a joke shop but then he notice that it's a magic shop.And they see a do that say secrate and there is brooms pigenos And he trick a kid name Jackson with magic tricks this is a great book.
*****Awesome! I like magic so I love the book. Its unique because it not only has instructions, it has a story to it. My favorite part was when Mike made a 5$ bill make change and when Jackson said he will call the police. Realy why would Jackson call the police? I mean its just a quarter!
P.S. There is a second book called The Incredible Twisting Arm.There is a new kid double jointed kid that can twist his arm crazily.

*****It was a great book because it had the main character mike, and he got in trouble because he got up during a test , and the teacher thought he was cheating. then later he went to a magic shop, and got some teeth and broke it and his neighbor Jackson made fun of him like he always did. Then later he asked for a coin from Jackson to do a magic trick that made his coin disappear, and Jackson got mad because he thought that mike stole it. then later he gave it back at Jacksons soccer game that he lost by doing another magic trick. then at the end mikes dad did not show up to pick them up, so him and his other neighbor named Nora saw a telephone booth, and mike made coins appear and called his dad.
*****************LOVED IT!!!!! I liked how Mike was a well different kid that can't stay still and always got in trouble. He also has an enemy Jackson. His life completely changes when he learns of the White Rabbit. At first glance it is a joke shop but if you look closer you realize its a magic shop. Read to see what Mike does with his life after he finds out.
****good I like that this book is about magic witch could be very interesting. I like how mike finds a way to deal with the bullies and is still occupied with magic. I also like how he comes to find his boring neighbor nora is not so bad after all.

I really got confused that why would he get sent to the principal office even though he wasn't cheating.I don't want to ruin the whole book but its a great story and i think that you should read it.Plus the book is about getting the main character focus.

okay I really like the the part when he makes Jackson coin desapear is the best part and I did do some of the magic tricks my favorite trick is the money that's why I love this book
